Feature Requests

When republishing an article after making edits, it would be helpful to include an internal change log that allows authors and collaborators to document what was changed and why. Users should be able to change the authors and collaborators of each article to ensure that the correct person receives notifications related to edits and updates. For example: “Updated screenshot for accuracy” “Added new section related to XYZ feature (Jira #1234)” This feature would help writers, editors, and collaborators easily understand the purpose of each revision when viewing version history, especially when reverting to a previous version.

Pasted images should be automatically uploaded to the Files Manager.

I have been trying to get used to using the Toast UI image editor but it is pretty lacking compared to most other free image editors available. Key requests listed below: Icon/Shape/Draw colours should remember what colour I last used, or even better - have the ability within the editor to save certain colours (i.e. our branding colours). Currently I end up typing out the colour code every single time I want to add a simple rectangle, and half the time it doesn't even apply. The Stroke for shape sometimes changes to 0 when I am resizing or moving a shape. Why?? It is super frustrating that once you save, you can't go back in to the image editor and adjust an icon/shape. Need a way to quickly and easily apply a blur to a section of the image (scribe does this really nicely if you want to compare) The arrow icons are so huge! I would much prefer the ability to add an arrow end onto a straight line. Trying to make the arrow icons smaller is a pita. Bonus requests: I would LOVE the ability to have rounded/radius corners on rectangle shapes. Many times I have cropped the image, but clicked save before I remember to click ''apply'' to the crop. It would be awesome if the editor could pop up a warning if this happens, prompting me to cancel and apply the crop changes, or click save to proceed (and lose the crop changes).

Example: Our default text size is 14px for all main body text, we always have a solid 1px border around images. Being able to manually configure such settings as a standard would be great as currently we have to readjust/apply each time from the article page default.

Currently, updating article URLs (slugs) requires opening each article individually in the editor, which can be time-consuming, especially when multiple links need to be changed. Suggested Improvement: Add a centralized page or management view where users can: View all article URLs/slugs in one place. Edit and update URLs directly without opening each article. Optionally sort, filter, or bulk-edit slugs for faster management. Why this matters: This enhancement would make it significantly easier to maintain consistent and SEO-friendly article URLs, especially for teams managing large knowledge bases or restructuring content.

Once we submit an article for review, we can't remove the review state unless we publish it. This isn't ideal in scenarios where the article was disapproved and we just want to get it out of review and submit it again when it's adjusted. In these cases, we have to publish the article and unpublish it to remove the review state. Once the reviewer disapproves the article and the author makes the changes, he can't resubmit it for review. How does the reviewer know they updated it and that they need to review it again? Related to those two points, users without the "unlock publish" ability cannot get articles outside of the review state and cannot re-submit them for review. The only approach right now is to add a comment in the article to notify the reviewer that he needs to check it again. Review comments aren't saved in the editor. We should have a log of the review rounds with the corresponding comments.

Suggestion to enhance/create the ability to sort selected text or list items in alphabetical order. This would be especially helpful when creating lists that need to be organised quickly and clearly—similar to the "Sort A to Z" function in Excel. Right now, this isn’t possible within the platform, so adding this feature would definitely improve efficiency and ease of use.

Currently, when you copy bulleted lists from Word or websites and paste it into the article editor, the bullets are removed. Then I have to manually format the lists as bullets again. This can get very tedious for long articles. The request is to make it so the bullet formatting is retained--just like it is for Heading formats already.

When wanting to change a "accordion" to a "tab" It would be a amazing if we could switch between the two without having to copy and paste the content from one to the other.

It would be nice to have keyboard shortcuts for adding tabs, accordions, a link, etc. This would make creating/editing an article a lot faster.
