Swifty Gen AI Response should include citations to relevant articles
Patrick Morgan
Swifty responses should provide links to the articles they draw most from. This might be as a list of citations after the response, a “Learn more” call-to-action in the response itself, or both.
There are times when, depending on the query, the Swifty response provides a complete answer (eg. a “how do I...” query can is answered with a specific set of instructions or a “what is...” query is answered with a single definition). However, there are other times when questions are more open ended (eg “what is the best way to...”) and the Swifty response might not be able to encompass everything a user would need to consider. In these cases, we’d want to provide an overview in the AI response, but encourage users to go to the articles with documentation.
Additionally, having citations appear with a response help users feel comfortable with the accuracy and veracity of the AI response.
