Link Manager

I'd suggested this before but can't seem to find that post now and this comes up often enough to suggest it again - a link manager that basically shows any articles that have internal links, broken links, etc. An example of this can be found here: https://success.mindtouch.com/Manage/Content_Maintenance/Link_Management/Link_Manager

Hello, just been taking a look at this new feature (it's really great to be able to see the broken links and immediately be able to find which articles they are connected to) - one thing we are having difficulty with is locating the broken links in some of the longer pages (especially those with multiple links). Would it be possible to get the link's text also listed in the results?

It would also be nice to have a direct link TO the actual article with the link.

Vincent Connelly: Like an article redirect?

Emil Hajric: I was looking at Marissa Fegan's link to the example. I didn't realize it was for a particular article. I thought it was a global list of links. If it was a global list, I would like to have a link to the article.
It would be nice to have both views. If you were in the article you would see the link manager for just that article. But you could also go to the global link manager (similar to the file manager) and see all links in every article.

There should be an overview of listed links with columns that show internal, external, valid or broken, referred from page(url)

Just my 2 cents regarding internal links. That you manually have to keep track of internal links and that there can be url collisions between articles and folders is a big pain.
URLs should be automatically managed and should never be able to collide. My guess is that most systems have a URL router that manages this and maps URLs. So an article can have a URL path that is the full path including all folders it resides in. What is stored in the actual article when you create a link is just a UID to the article. So if a article is moved the URL is changed but no links to the article will break.

This would be very helpful for us as well. Especially concerning hyperlinks between articles within HelpJuice. Right now the only alternative is to map everything in Excel, which is quite tedious and labour intensive. A smart solution would be very welcome.

I feel I have either suggested or voted on this previously as well. I would settle for a broken link report all by itself.
