Better interface of file manager while searching
ruby joy
This is so important! Not to mention if you're looking in files within files, I can't just search for what's in the place I'm looking, it searches everything... why?

Absolutely, FileManager is just useless for managing files in this form of implementation. You have to open the search hits in a new tab in order to perform a deletion, for example. Why so complicated? A filtering in the existing list on a search term with direct editing possibility of the result would be clearly more comfortable.

Yes :-)
For me there are many benefits / advantages of a result list:
1. The biggest advantage: I can work with the result list and not just look at it.
2. The details of the file can be opened and it is easy to return to the file without scrolling through the result list.
3. It is easy to select multiple files from the list by checking the checkbox.
4. The available actions for a file / the activated files can be executed, like "Delete, Replace, ...".
5. It is easy to compare and decide between the different files:
a. Which file can be deleted?
b. Which is the file that can be replaced?
c. Is this file still needed?
6. Additional information about each result will be displayed in the result list immediately like "File size, Type, Date, Modified, Used In, Last Modifier", i.e. it may not be necessary to open the details of the file.
That's why my suggestion is to add a "Display as result list" button. I sent this suggestion to support in February, however I did not make a request, I now support yours.

The file manager needs a lot of changes to make it useable. It is much easier to upload the same graphic or file over and over again than it is to find a file the file manager.
