Replacing an image in the files manager should be replacing it also in the articles

[Files Manager] Inconsistent behavior when replacing files
Ivanna Parra
When we replace a file with a new one with a different name, the behavior is not consistent:
- Sometimes the file updates as expected right away
- Other times, we have to replace it twice for it to update
- Other times, it updates after refreshing the pages multiple times

"Replace" feature in the Files Manager doesn't update the Articles with new URL.

When we replace a file using the "Replace" feature in the Files Manager, the Articles don't update the file URL; they show the content from the Old URL.

Cannot Replace Images in the File Manager
Dan Coleman
I cannot replace images in the file manager unless the image I upload to replace the current image has a different name. In addition, when I replace an image it does NOT automatically update/replace the image in any articles the image appears in. I must delete the image, then add it back to the article to see the updated image. This is a big deal when a UI update occurs and we need to update/replace an image that appears in many help articles. Thanks

any update on this Mahir Tokic? This bug is a constant issue for us and has been "planned" for a long time.

this would be wonderful if that bug can be fixed

I have had this experience for the past few years and have repeatedly reported it. I am told the dev team is 'looking into it'. We are doing a big review of our content and this functionality is crucial.

100%! I'm not sure what the purpose of this option is, given that it updates the file's URL. My expectation was that it would replace the file at that URL, and then any where that URL is referenced in a src attribute, the new file would be referenced instead of the old.

I agree. This would be very helpful

I am experiencing the same issue, and the asset management was one of the selling points for us moving to Helpjuice. We replace images with every release, and this feature not working is causing a lot of manual work that wastes time.

We are experiencing this as well. At the moment, for us, it's not possibile to use this feature.
