I revised an image then uploaded it, thinking the old image would be replaced with the new (a confirmation would be fine). But instead it added a copy with the same name! So basically to update an image I have to delete the old, upload the new. Please just have a replace file.

It appears that the Files Manager for our KB offers a "Replace" feature after clicking on a file. This is not a feature that we have experience using but hope this information could be useful.
