Option to "Continue numbering" an ordered list

We'd like the ability to continue numbering an ordered list. Currently, if the ordered list is interrupted - for instance with the insertion of an info block - we cannot continue the ordered list. The list restarts at 1.
Since we document software, we often have to add a quick info block after a step to say, "Hey! Do it this way or you're going to break your configuration", and then continue listing the steps. It would be great if we didn't have to come up with workarounds to get the info in and still have an ordered list.

Yes, please! Providing screenshots along with each numbered step also results in the same headache. The "Start at" field provided under "List properties" can be helpful, but it is not always reliable in its application.

Nested lists appear to be interrupting numbered lists as well. Here is a screenshot from an article we are working on. The left side of the image shows a sequential numbered list while viewing the article in the Article Editor. The right side shows the Draft preview of the contents in the Article Editor at this time. We can see that they do not match.
I was able to manually make the Draft display the numbered list 1-9 using the methods mentioned in my previous comment, however I only stumbled across this issue accidentally and would have potentially published this article without knowing.

this is a HUGE one. The amount of manual code work needed to create a decent ordered list with alerts and images is very inconvenient.

The HJ visual editor is fine for those who know HTML and understand it is, by nature, limited. If you expect the visual editor to be like Word, then you're always going to be disappointed. I think perhaps the best way to address these disappointments is to promote the visual editor as a HTML visual editor, so people understand from the start what it is and what it isn't. It's an aid, not a complete solution -- no visual editor really is, not even Dreamweaver.

Please make this a priority. I have spent roughly 35 minutes now trying to insert a warning block while trying to "continue numbering" by steps. I have tried the html fix below to continue numbering and its not working either. This is super frustrating and taking up a lot of my editorial time.
Also - I used the SHIFT + Enter mention to insert warning block however it counts that Warning block as a step and we dont want that. And when I delete the bullet number it starts over with numbering and creates a real mess.
