sorry, but i'm pretty stunned that helpjuice does not prevent the simultaneous editing of an article by different authors at the same time. there isn't even a warning. At least there must be a warning, better still, editing is prevented for all other authors if someone has opened the article for editing.

It would be interesting to know why this project was complited once and then opened again. Anyway: Our concern was a very simple one: it must be excluded that two authors can open the same article for editing at the same time and then also save it. This leads to the fact that only the work of the author who saved last is saved. In any case, there needs to be a very visible warning that the article has already been opened for editing by someone else, and who that is.

Helpjuice now allows for multiple users collaborating on same document in real time. Each user who edits the content will be added as a collaborator.

Joel Andrews: Yep, exactly. So this will prevent those issues when multiple users work on same document and changes gets lost/overwritten by other side.

Denis Omerovic: This is very helpful! It's great to be able to see if someone else is in the article and editing, especially as my team members and I often work on different update projects that sometimes overlap with the same articles.
Some questions:
- If you Add someone as a collaborator via the drop-down, the invitation email is taking quite a while to hit some inboxes. Not sure what the source of the delay is.
- Removing someone as a collaborator doesn't remove their access or ability to edit; it just removes them from the list. So I'm not sure what the functionality of the Add/Remove is supposed to be beyond using Add as a notification and invite. The problem here is that a collaborator from a previous invite may come late to an already-published article, hit the Submit for Review button, and accidentally unpublish the article.
- If you're invited to collaborate on an article, it would helpful to have a list in the Dashboard of articles you've been added to so you don't have to hunt through email invites. Similar to "followed articles" maybe?
- It would be helpful if someone could remove themselves from an article if they were accidentally added or no longer need access.

Sharon Chester: Thanks for the feedback. I'll check why emails doesn't arrive immediately. Having a list with all the articles you've been added is a very good idea. We will implement this. Number 4 - you can remove yourself from article if you have permission(based on user role)

Agree with Joel here. This feature has resulted in a great loss of work when additional users are editing in real time simultaneously.

Yeah, I have to say, this is a pretty big shortfall from my perspective as well. It would be one thing if you could see that someone else was editing too, but I've lost quite a bit of work before when someone else saved some minor change after my last edit. I realize there's a way to recover it, but that's still a pain.
