Option to remove/delete versions of an article

It would be nice to be able to remove/delete versions of an article. I have 3 versions of an article, but we will not be publishing 2 versions. We want to remove them to avoid accidental publishing.

This is an important feature and the way it is working right now (even if it has great potential, it is a bit confusing) It would be good if we could delete the old versions which don't actually serve any purpose by remaining on the list. many thanks

We also use versions to draft layouts, it would help with content management to get rid of the ones we longer want.

This is also a request from our team. We often use the versions as a way to A/B test content presentation. The ability to delete a version that we are not using would be beneficial.
