As I mentioned before, if you had an RSS feed, this would help with this. You could also create a "News" category with anything in that category being shown in a specific area on your site/home page.

External and Internal -would be great. Internal will help notify all departments when a new process is created or updated improving communication across departments. External - customers can subscribe using their email address, meaning they will receive product updates every time a "Product release" article is loaded. @Emil Hajric ....
