When a user searches for an article, the search engine provides an indicator for the importance of an article, based on popularity. Most viewed articles are positioned on the top of the list. This will shorten searching time, because results will be more accurate.

Isn't this tied to tags? If your content is tagged accordingly, the more tags that match, I'd assume the higher the positioning of the article in the search results?

Also, just because an article is popular, doesn't necessarily mean it's what specific users are looking for ;-)
