Incorrect "Published" status

When a version of an article is saved as a draft, all versions are unpublished (which is a problem in its own right).
However, the versions listing still shows a status of "Published" when this is not the case.
In this instance, v.2 had a user click SAVE DRAFT, which unpublished all versions. As shown below, v.3 is still listed as Published, which is inaccurate.

Selecting Draft puts article in Draft Unpublished state...don't want unpublished, just draft.
